I am assuming you are refering to the SCSI version, not the IDE one.

The internal SCSI Zip drive works fine with all current versions of Linux.
The SCSI card shipped with (at least the one I received) is a supported
Adaptec low end ISA SCSI 2 card.

It all works fine. Some Linux distributions even have a command set that
support specific functions such as eject. It must be refered to as sdx4
(eg: sda4).

In fact, the ZIP 'How To' covers almost everything.
