Re: Domain Name service HOWTO

Hi all.
Yup .. with one problem I ran into recently if you're not careful. In my case,
the HOW-TO was still referring to the older bind-4.x.x configuration instead of
the installed 8.x.x. I stumbled on the correct configuration by going to
/usr/doc/bind-8.x.x_Px/html/ and with lynx I noticed a sample named.conf file.in
one of the html files.

This in my case may be only as a result of installing bind as an update on a
RH5.x system, but still, it worries me that it didn't include an updated HOW-TO.

The O'Reilly "DNS and BIND" book is excellent for an understanding of DNS as a
whole.

regards ... Don
