I also have had the same problem with Redhat 6.1 not recognising my
printer - on two different machines. Likewise it was recognised in Redhat
6.0. I have now tried all modes available for the printer port under the
BIOS but still no success. Just to make sure I also made sure that I have
the latest release from Redhat for lpd. Using an HP Deskjet 400. One of the
machines is a dual boot with win98 and there are no problems printing from
there. Any suggestions of where to start?
