Check your BIOS settings and your printer manual. Some printers require
the parallel port to be set to diferent modes (ECP, EPP, normal etc). I've
found on occasions with an HP printer and windows NT, applying a service
pack was enough to break it till I reset the port mode.
Possibly something similar is happening here.
If this fails, do you have an old DOS disk lying around. Try booting to it
and type the command.
copy <some text file> lpt1:
Need a text file, try config.sys, or create one.
This'll confirm printing is working from your PC, and its possibly some
other problem.
