RE: Helpdesk management software
The best one I've found so far is JCS. It runs entirely as CGI and Frames
under Apache. I don't have the URL on me, but it was listed under
Freshmeat.com.
It's well written, fast, and allows multi-user and multi-updates per call.
Supports three status codes:
Red (default)
Yellow (no idea... on hold, perhaps)
Green (closed)
The installation instructions included are super easy. The whole tar is less
than 300k. Well worth the floppy disk.
