Interesting. I have a problem which might be related.
The upgraded RH6.0/Gnome from the Linux Pocketbook installed easily on my
ExtendedSVGA monitor and Diamond Stealth 2000 Pro. I was later able to
upgrade to RH6.1 (thanks, Geoffrey) with delightful effect.
On my other computer, with a similar monitor and i740AGP, the Pocketbook
edition simply would not install X even though it correctly probed for the
i740 card. I simply could not find a monitor or monitor settings the
install would accept.
The RH6.1/Gnome installed without a hitch, but unfortunately without the
hybridised KDE I have on the other install.
So, is it i740 or monitor settings which are at issue here?
