mutt/pgp failure

has anyone succeeded in using the SuSE 6.2 version
of mutt/pgp?
I just tried to use the pgp within mutt on both
a laptop (travelling with me in San Jose), and
a K6-2/400 at home, and it failed identically
on both.

Symptoms:

Then I am in sign or encrypt/sign mode,
and I type "y" to transmit mail, and I enter the
passphrase, I get:

=====================================================
tiger:akenning> mutt akenning
sh: s: command not found
Press any key to continue...

=====================================================

I can't find any scripts any where that have anything
like an "s" command.

I am uisng the line

set pgp_default_version=pgp5

in my .muttrc file.
And the config files for both PGP and
mutt are identical on all machines.

Mutt version = Mutt 0.95.6i (1999-06-03)

(But RH 5.2 mutt version does work,
and its version is
Mutt 0.95.4i (1999-03-03)

The version of PGP is:
PGP for Personal Privacy Version: unix50i1b

on the failing machine, and:
PGP for Personal Privacy Version: unix50i1b

on the successful RH5.2 machine.

Merci d'avance pour tous renseignments quelconques,
Alan Kennington.
