Normally that happens when your physical hdd configurations have changed or
when somthing else like a bootsector has fouled up.
Create linux "resuce" boot disks from the redhat cd.
Boot off the rescue disks then mount your linux partition and fix lilo.conf
.

Can anyone tell, why my computer locks during booting, when trying to run
LILO. It displays LI and then dies before being able to finish the word
LILO?
I am using Red Hat 6.0 distribution which is included in the APC Linux
Pocketbook.
My guess is, that somehow Master Boot Record was damaged during installation
and now I can not run Linux nor Windows any more.
What can I do to rectify the problem?
