Just Compiled GNOME and Gtk+

Just when I thought I couldn't convince my system to go a little faster,
I decided to download the newest version of gIDE (GNOME IDE) which of
course needed Gtk+ 1.2.6. After cursing, I decided "what the heck" and
downloaded the source to the latest stable Gtk+ and glib libraries.

I then compiled them with a ridiculous set of optimisations (-O5
-ffast-math -funroll-loops -fomit-frame-pointer -march=pentium) and
WHOOOOSH.....much faster and I haven't crashed yet. Mind you, I wouldn't
advise someone to try this little trick out on a mission/business
critical machine but X, especially the GNOME apps, is going noticeably
faster.
