Yes, the problem is the gateway address on the network card. If you only
have a small LAN, you do NOT need a gateway. Delete it and then try
logging on again. 5 bucks says you don't get the 'no route to host' error.

Masquerading is for letting other computers access the Internet through
your linux machine.
