Have you set up your /etc/resolv.conf to look at your Works DNS server?
If you are on a work LAN to connect to the Internet, then you will need to
set up your gateway to point to your Firewall / Proxy.

If you set up your gateway under Linux to the same as you did under NT,
then you should be able to access the Net the same way you did, unless
your work has changed their proxy configuration.
