Alex,

Me too.
I've used procmail for years and years, and it always
behave correctly on read/unread.

Your e-mail, for instance, arrived with _no_ Status: line
in the mailbox ~/mb/linux. But your previous e-mail
to linuxsa on Thursday 2 Sep 1999 have the line:

Status: RO 

Appended to the headers.
Perhaps you should check this.
If there is no status line, that means it's
been stored as is. Otherwise a status line is added.
