Effectively what you are doing it using DOS's master boot record to boot
linux.. DOS's boot thing cannot boot to anything other than the primary
drive.

Caldera has this problem because their commercial version uses BootManager
to get around this issue, but the GPL one on the PB doesn't have it.

You need to basically make LILO install itself as the Master Boot Record
(MBR)..

Note: The redhat install does this proplerly.
