Cant access internet (more information)

I've received a couple of request for more information on my problem of not
being able to properly access the internet while using RH6, so here goes,
I'll give you what little I can.
when i connect to the net (or try to) using usernet and ping my ISP's
(Senet) website (www.senet.com.au) it doesn't recognise the address and
cannot contact the server, but I can ping the IP address 203.11.90.1 and
get a response
if i execute netstat -r this is what i get
destination gateway genmask flags mss window irtt iface
203.11.90.1 * 255.255.255.255 UH 0 0 0 ppp0
127.0.0.0 * 255.0.0.0 U 0 0 0 lo
default 203.11.90.1 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 ppp0
and when I use ifconfig -a, i get
lo linkencap: local loopback
inet addr: 127.0.0.1 mask: 255.0.0.0
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING NOARP MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
Rx Packets:78 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
