Hi, which X server are you running? (do: ls -l /etc/X11/X and it's
the XF86_****** part)

The diamond 3d 400 requires the the SVGA server (it uses the S3 ViRGE/GX2
chipset).

You may be running the s3 server.
Let me know which one your running and I'll guide you through fixing it.
