Well, no. The money that goes to your ISP does not go to any of the
sites that you view. The ISP takes all of your money, and uses it to pay
staff, pay their carrier, like Tel$tra, Optus, etc., and ads, equipment
etc. and just plain make profit out of.

The cable company actually has to pay for the shows it lets you watch,
so the shows do actually get money.

So, essentially the internet is more like free-to-air television than
cable.
