civilization seg faulting
Hi,
I am running RH5.2 on a p133/96MB ram/sb16/svga xserver(I think, s3
video card)/KDE
When I am playing civilaztion after a while it will crash, taking KDE
and other programms with it. If I start x without kde and just get a
terminal and then run civilization, when it crashes I actually get the
error message BUG! seg fault (or something very close to that, sorry I
didnt write it down).
Has anybody else who has played this game seen anything like this?
I am not sure whether it is the game or my machine as it has troubles
compiling things (some times, try a couple of times and it might
eventually compile?!?), locks up completly, and generally does some
strange things at times. But this is the first time that I have had any
thing like this happen with a program.
Any ideas, besides getting a newer computer ? (which I am planning on
doing soon, but havent got the money now :-( ). I would like to be able
to play my new game :-)
Ben.......
