100MB Cards (Realtek 8139 / others?)
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has some experience of 100MB cards under Linux.
I'm using a Realtek 8139, kernel 2.0.36, 450MHz Celeron, 256MB RAM, and PCI
DPT SCSI HD controller..
At 10MB the card works fine, but at 100MB I get over 50% packet loss on a
lightly loaded hub. A pair of Win95 PC's with the same cards and same hub work
fine at 100MB. I've swapped fly leads, swapped cards, installed the latest
driver, with no success.
Has anyone had any experience with these cards, or can they recommend any that
do work well?
Thanks
Steve
