INTERNET CONNECTION IS SLOW
HI
I've managed to set up my internet connection. I've used Network
Configurator under X.
***HERE ARE THE STATS***
My DNS are
203.11.90.1
203.11.90.240
I've set these up under the Name Server (second tab option)
My POP connection is set up as
(a 28800 KTX Fax/Modem on /dev/cua1)
I've set the default and main gateway to 203.11.90.1 (which is what my
SENET papers say it is). I don't know what the NetMask is and I haven't set
it as far as I know.
I've configured my PROXY address to SENET's proxy manually using Navigaor.
***END OF STATS***
It works however it is SLOW. In fact is so dreadfully slow that it's
painful. Windows reports transfer rates of anywhere between 1 kB and 3 kB
whereas Navigator/Linux is lucky to even get to 0.8kB and normally sits
around 0.2 to 0.4kB if it hasn't stalled.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm convinced that it should go faster....
DAVID.
