Re: HP JetDirect Print server's compatibility with Linux.

Hi,

If I want to give permission to just a set of machines for a
PARTICULAR printer, is there anyway in lpd.

We have a color printer and we want to give permission
just for a couple of machines ( that used by the QUOTE UNQUOTE Managers!!).

hosts.lpd allows you to specify the machine names .
But is there a way to specify.

 color_printer : host1,host2

 ?????

The roundabout way is to set up this printer as a local printer of
another machine and setting the permissions on that machine. But
Is there any other Sleakish, Neatish way ???
