GTK-Perl (not a newbie question)

Heyas
I'm trying to write a small app in gtk-perl, and unfortunately it's very
poorly documented so far.
What I need to do, is to do processing (ie. call a function) in idle
time, or at least frequently. I'm sure that there would be a way to do
this, but I can't find out anywhere that even lists the available
functions, in the Gtk pm, let alone their usage.
Does anyone know what the way to do this is?

I presume it will be something like
Gtk::idle_function(&my_idle_function);

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Toby
