How much total memory do you have in Linux? 16Mb physical memory is a bit
minimal, but more importantly, how much swap space do you have enabled?
Icechest about 80Mb total for X + gimp + whatever-else-you-have-running.
Remember, M$ winblo$e grabs large lumps of your hard disk for virtual
memory, that is why Photoshop works at all.
