Linux 2.2.6 -not certified

I am trying to install word perfect 8 and it stops and states: Linux 2.2.6 
not certified  continue (y,n).  Does this mean that it wont work with linux 
2.2.6, only 2.0.36.  Not surprising since it was published before the 2.2.6 
kernel was released.  (or have I compiled my kernel incorectly).
