are you running named?

i am, and I am surprised by how much traffic it generates.

if you do tcpdump -i ppp0 and you are running named, you will see that your little machine is
talking to all the root nameservers. or at least mine is...

makes me kinda hope like hell that I've got things configed properlly :)
