modem lights and portscans etc...

it's funny...
warching my modem lights flicker on and off in a reguler sequence...
three long flashes, then a small one after a second. then after five
seconds another small one.
then again it repeats...
been going for half an hour.
must be a port scan or something. not much of a hacker myself, what
should i do now?
