Just think not about a developer developing free software for the sake of it.
Paul Russell (a fellow LinuxSAer) is developing the IP Firewalling code in the
kernel. Which is free software (and GPLed too). The catch is that he can
do this full time and be paid by someone funding the work.
I don't think Paul is doing too badly developing the FREE software, and is
surviving.
I trust that these sort of discussion can be held at the meeting too :).
