Date kludges (was Re: gpm)

Yes this sort of thing works well.

I have a script run from init which on bootup copies my SO's Netscape
bookmarks from the Windows paritition into the appropriate place, and does
the same in reverse on shutdown. A symlink didn't seem to work, but this
solution is much cooler :-)

The standard 'date' command has the ability to do this +- thing - I say go
for it!
