Alan, 

Although I would like this to be discussed further at the meeting, the
reason I wanted the panel is probably summed up in the following.

Venture capital is venture capital.  Proprietary (or closed if you
prefer) software has it easy.  The whole point of the panel is to discuss
(with the guest from the Playford Centre) opportunites within the 
Open Source environment (which includes things other than the development)
that fulfill the requirements of the Playford Centre for funding.

We can all banter about the various options that there are (which we are
doing and is good), but the intent is to banter at the meeting :).

So Alan, I look forward to hearing your views *at* the meeting.  After the
meeting, I would encourage this discussion to continue.  We will also all
have a better idea about what the options are too.
