edit /etc/dosemu.conf and adjust the com port settings to the relevant
settings. Mine are listed below as an example.

$_com1 = "/dev/mouse"   
$_com2 = "/dev/ttyS1"             
$_com3 = ""            
$_com4 = "/dev/modem"
