Compare the headers in the emails.  As mail is passed from host to host, each
host adds a 'Received' header.  They are pretty much readable in english so 
have a close look and see if you can find out the different paths that the
emails are taking.  

If they are almost exactly the same, contact organisers@linuxsa.org.au and
we will see if we can fix it.
