Printing:Wordperfect 8/Caldera 1.3

Hi all,

I've reached somewhat of a deadend trying to get printing working in
Wordperfect 8.0 in Caldera 1.3.

My Canon bjc600 prints OK in Caldera but not at all within the WP8
program.

I would appreciate some guidance please to get my printer up and working
in WP. The following are details of the current WP printer
configuration.
   *   Current printer is shown as "P Canon BJC-600 (LQ mode) at lp"
  
   
   *   Printer setup filename is "/root/.wprc/bjc600/q.prs"

   
   *   Current destination is "lpr/lp"
   
   
   *   Printer Control shows printer status  as "enabled" and
       destination "lpr-Plp<f>" BUT "error:spool command"

Thanks  for any help you can provide to resolve this problem.
