Well, Apache is usually setup with a default install. Fire up netscape
and type in the url: http://[your IP goes here] you should see a message
saying it works. This is just a html file in your /home/http/html
directory, put your stuff there, and it'll be visible on the web server.
The format is pretty much the same with ftp servers as well (/home/ftp)
Now, to actually be an internet server, you need to connect to the
internet with the linux box, take down the number of your IP, and that's
your web server. To get a proper name, like www.bijin4.com or whatever,
you need to enquire into DNS, see http://www.internic.com , you'll also
have to get a static IP (I don't know if AOL has this)
And SAMBA is a suite that allows Unix boxes to talk to Windows machines
through file/printer sharing.
