help with XF86Setup error

can't read "CardReadmes(XBF_i740)": no such element in array
    while executing
"llength $CardReadmes($cardServer)..."

above is the text of the error message I get from XF86Setup.
I'm installing the XBF_i740 server
anyone able to help here?
