That works.
My system (linux 4.0) mysteriously does not have exportfs.
And killing (HUP) rpc.nfsd did _not_ make the export happen.
But killing (HUP) rcp.mountd after this _did_ make the export
happen. So I now I can read CD-ROMs from the sparc station.
Thanks for that.
Now I just have to work out why I've go the only linux OS
on the planet without exportfs (which I've used for 10 years
on sparc stations [and Sun3/60 machines]).
maybe this is a symtpom of needing a new OS.
Or maybe I somehow didn't load the RPM module for it.
A bunch of other standards things are also missing.
Oh well...
