Plug'n'Pray ethernet card
Hi all,
I've just upgraded my 486DX-33 to a 686-P200+ (16.59bogomips to 159.76bogomips). I also installed a PCI-Plug'n'Pray NE2000 compat. Ethernet card. The problem I have is that Linux (RH4.2) doesn't know what the card setup is. I have added the following to conf.modules 'alias eth0 ne' but all I get is that Linux cannot autodetect an 'ne' card. hmph. How, in Linux, can I find out the IO and IRQ settings for the card. I can use the DOS setup disk but don't think Linux relying on DOS is really what I (or you) want. Any clues?
thanks ...Don.
