I always liked the quote "If it's not broken, you ain't looking hard
enough.  Fix it anyway."

Personally, I would 'rpm -e --nodeps kernel-source kernel-headers' to
get rid of the RPM'd kernel source, and then use a kernel source tar
file from sunsite.anu.edu.au.  Just to simplify things, don't bother
trying to patch from 2.0.18 up to 2.0.30; although its not difficult,
it is easier to learn one thing at a time.
