Sorry my typo the line reads now
/dev/hdb /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,user,exec,ro

this is now noauto.
After changing these few things I rebooted. the screen is a little
too fast to read at boot so I did a dmesg and this is in there
hdb: cd820.1v78b9108, ATAPU CDROM drive
This is good
but then it has this also
hdb : tray open or drive not ready
hdb : tray open or drive not ready
hdb : tray open or drive not ready
hdb : tray open or drive not ready
hdb : tray open

And still the cd spins :(
